We now have an email notification system in place to let you know when an item comes back in stock. To set it up, simply go to the out of stock product you want and put your email in. When it gets the quantity updated, you’ll be notified. The image used in this article is what the inside of a USPS distribution center here in Louisville currently looks like. There is a huge backlog of inbound and outbound packages that are currently sitting waiting to be sorted and delivered or shipped out to its destination. We would like to recommend anyone wanting timely delivery of items to select the expedited (UPS) marked shipping items whenever possible to ensure there is no delay. Do know that whenever it is feasible we do upgrade the shipping to UPS to bypass any delays, however with many cheaper shipments it can be too much of a financial burden to ship orders through UPS (the cheapest option can cost around $8 and can cost more based on distance, weight, and size of the package). It is very unfortunate that many of you will see a delay, but please rest assured we will do our best to get an item sent through the postal service on its way as fast as possible. Please bear with us as this has a huge impact on our business as well and through this critical time of year. If we can assist in any way please let us know.
As you may have heard, the postal service is having extreme delays in many of the services they offer, particularly with priority mail packages. Unfortunately many small businesses around the country rely on this service and have been negatively impacted by this. This has caused us to ship with other delivery services which are typically more expensive but is the only method we have to ensure we get your items to you in a reasonable amount of time. In response, we have had to tweak a few costs and shipping structures in order to ensure we remain profitable while still servicing our customers close and not so close to home. These are the changes: We have temporarily made "Standard" shipping now called "Snail Mail" to indicate shipping via USPS and there is no guarantee of speed. All orders under $100 have Expedited options that will ship UPS and get to anywhere in the US in a few days. We will keep the $100+ free shipping, but know that there is no guarantee on when you will get your package. Sometimes it can go UPS for the same cost, sometimes not. We have added an Expedited option for $100+ orders that will ensure you get it in a few days. We hate to see this, as this only makes us less competitive and our costs rise just like your costs do as well, but it is the only way to ensure we continue to be proud to ship across the street or across the country in a reasonable time frame. Please hang in there with us and hopefully we can go back to our normal shipping prices as things smooth out with USPS.
With our reopening imminent, we would like to make everyone aware of the policies and changes we will have in effect as we keep everyone healthy and well cared for as we allow customers in store. These are of course subject to change and at our discretion. Masks that cover your mouth and nose are required to enter our store and must remain properly worn. All employees will wear a mask while interacting with customers. If you cannot wear a mask or choose not to, we have the most accommodating set up of any local store that allows you to browse our inventory on our website, place an order for curbside pick up, and call us on arrival for us to run it out to you. We are committed to being able to serve all our customers. If you still don’t feel comfortable entering stores, it’s OK! Curbside will remain and is encouraged for your convenience. Upon entering, you will be required to sanitize your hands. This ensures that surfaces and products remain clean and germ free. If you sneeze, cough, or touch your mask, we encourage you to circle back and resanitize. Gloves will also be available and employees will wear gloves whenever handling trade ins or customer-brought items. There will be a 10 customer limit in the store that will be enforced. If we are currently at capacity we will let you know at the door and ask for you to wait outside or in your car until customers leave. We ask customers to also limit groups entering to two per party to limit contacts and allow other customers to enter. We also ask that you limit your visit to 15 minutes (unless you have trade-ins), again, to allow others to enter and not have to wait. We will not have any play space or tables/chairs for in store play at this time. When we decide to allow in store play it will be announced. We do not want to encourage people congregating at our store until we feel it is safe and responsible to do so. Our bathroom and back of house area remains under construction and will be closed and off limits to customers. Due to Covid concerns there will be no exceptions. Do not touch products unless you have intention to purchase. We regularly sanitize high traffic areas but cannot possibly wipe down everything in the store. Be cautious and mindful of others. We know that these are all rules that we all inherently live by now, but we want to notify our customers through all facets that we are very serious about the health of our employees and customers. We are doing everything we can to ensure we follow guidance, listen to science, and exercise caution in taking our time to maintain a safe environment rather than rush to push against the current restrictions.
